Facility Manager Nebayot Chalma explains the crushing process to an AgForestry group.
In 2006, NSF built Washington State’s first commercial oilseed crushing facility.   This facility has the annual capacity to crush 7,280 tons of oilseeds - canola, camelina, soy beans, sunflower seeds, flax, etc.  The end result of our pressing process is high quality protein meal and vegetable oil.  Our customers are free to determine meal finish, from fine to coarse, and residual oils. You have come to the right place if you are looking for:
  • Oil or Meal for a high-protein, omega-rich additions to your livestock feeding plan
  • A custom crusher to provide custom processing
  • A buyer for your oilseeds
  • Oil for bioenergy production
  • Meal as a biofumigant (currently exploring)
